Map controls made for e-ink

• Open Search from the top toolbar, then look for a city, address, postcode, or landmark with a normal form submission.
• Use the toolbar layers button to switch between Roads and Topographic open-map views without losing the current center or zoom.
• Move in eight directions—including diagonally—with a circular icon pad, and zoom with a vertical button pair above it.
• Choose Full screen to hide standard actions and overlays, then use one upper-left Back button to return.
• Return automatically to the last map center and zoom saved to your Paperyx account.
• Keep the map usable in monochrome, color, light, and dark Paperyx display settings.

Optional gestures, clearly marked beta

Maps settings can enable a lightweight interactive beta. A completed one-finger swipe moves the map and a two-finger pinch requests one zoom step. These are full-page e-ink updates rather than animated dragging, and Kindle browser support can vary. The on-map buttons always remain available.

Save locations across signed-in devices

Open Save location, enter a name in the uncluttered form, and use the prominent Save location action. Saved locations can be reopened, renamed, reordered, and removed through ordinary Kindle-friendly pages.

Important limitations

Maps requires an internet connection. It does not provide turn-by-turn directions, live GPS location, live traffic, aerial or satellite imagery, offline map downloads, or continuous animated dragging. Beta swipe and two-finger pinch support varies by Kindle browser.

Roads uses OpenStreetMap Standard tiles, Topographic uses OpenTopoMap tiles, and search uses OpenStreetMap data. The attribution required by the active provider remains visible with each map.
